Peter Foley's journey to founding LetsGetChecked was deeply influenced by his personal health experiences. This experience ignited his commitment to making healthcare more patient-centric and accessible. Foley pursued a Bachelor of Laws from Dublin Business School and a Master's in Management from University College Dublin, equipping him with a robust foundation in both legal and business disciplines. His professional path included roles in corporate banking at KBC Bank Ireland and as Director at The Health Partnership, focusing on healthcare strategy and planning.

In 2015, channeling his personal insights and professional expertise, Foley established LetsGetChecked. Under his leadership, LetsGetChecked expanded internationally, performed millions of tests, and achieved 'unicorn' status in 2021 with a valuation exceeding $1 billion.
